Career Development Center

The Career Development Center, a division of the Evansville
Association for the Blind, is an exciting and unique training
center. Our learning environment offers an alternative to the traditional
classroom setting through non-credit, continuing education courses.
Purpose:
The purpose of the CDC is to help individuals develop general work skills
and habits that are necessary and compatible to the skills found in the
clerical field. Career Development Center is interested in seeing every
student leave our programs prepared to seek employment.
Certificate Programs:
CDC offers 5 (five) certificate programs:
- Data Entry Keyer
- General Office Assistant
- Accounting Clerk
- Medical Office Assistant
- Medical Transcription
All the programs include Microsoft Office 2000. Students may choose
to attend a complete program or they may choose a targeted approach to
their training. A targeted approach allows the student to attend only
those classes needed to achieve his or her employment goal.
